I have created a Kickstarter to help fund my exciting new graphic novel “The City Troll”.

“The City Troll” is a 180-page black and white comic about a guy named Paul and his extreme self-hate.  He views himself as a creature he calls the city troll.  This graphic novel floats between a surreal world where Paul wallows in his own self pity and the real world where he tackles a love triangle, jealousy, his distancing relationship with his father and his confrontation with his abusive mother.

I have spent almost all my free time creating this book over the last year.  Although it is fiction it has really been an outlet to deal with my own self-image issues and relationships.  There is no way I could afford to print this on my own so I am counting on generous contributions from wonderful people like you.

Aaron Whitaker is a painter and comic artist with wonderfully surreal and silly work. Okay? Okay! was an enjoyable, autobiographic comic about two creative people taking a crazy leap into a full-fledged relationship, drawn and written from both perspectives. As a person who also likes to draw out her feelings in sketchbooks it was, you know, relatable. I’m really looking forward to Whitaker’s new book. Help support it, if you are so able.
